Jitter Bug

Dealing with life in general when accompanied by the shitty companion we call ~anxiety~, can be a bitch. Some days not too bad, and at other times, disastrous. This blog contains the personal experiences of yours truly, and a few things I've learned along the way. Read also stories from other contributors and pick up a surprisingly useful piece of information shared here that you can use in your own journey! Circle of love, bb.

Public transport anxiety, be gone!

I don’t know about all y’all, but getting a car was one of the most awesome things ever for me because I knew that there was so much less bus and train catching in my life. My anxiety on public transport was bad for such a long time, to the point where I would freeze at the front door before going out and force myself to go.. “One foot in front of the other, Steph..”

Honestly though, I found a miracle cure. And it was stupidly helpful! So if like myself you despise the ol’ public transport game, read on my lucky friend!

Want to turn your shallow breaths, shaky hands, awkward phone fiddling, and nervous eye movements into a badass persona who don’t give a damn? Then bring along some sudoku with you of course!

Yep, that is seriously all my big secret is. I started playing sudoku on the bus.

It occupies your thoughts yet still leaves you aware of your surroundings, makes you look busy so you won’t be worrying about what others are thinking of you, it’s cheap, it gives you something to look at, and apparently it makes you smarter, too.

Yeah! So if you’re dreading going to the station tomorrow, take a puzzle or a crossword or what not, and I trust it helps!

Much loveeeeee,
